Gunton Hall has hotel rooms and Chalets,Lodges to suit every taste and buget.
First visit to Warner Leisure, Gunton Manor......positives:-
On arrival. well organised there is a luggage drop off point, it’s all taken to your room, we had a designated parking spot.
In the Hall we were met by a lovely staff member who showed us around everything, told us how the restaurant worked, we picked our own table for the duration of our stay and then took us to our
room which was fantastic, stayed in a Royal Room in the actual Hall, one of the best hotels rooms I’ve ever stayed in, spotlessly clean really big and beautifully decorated. No lift so you have to be mobile but that is stated when booking.
Many of the staff are quite young but impressively trained and to be honest very patient with the mainly elderly guests who can sometimes be very demanding.
The site was clean well maintained, the food was very good so much choice and all aspects have been catered for, our waiter Harrison was excellent the service was swift and attentive, despite him having to deal with some very tiresome guests! (He looked after them extremely well)!
The in house cafe we used for lunch was run by some great staff, jolly and efficient, with some delicious food.
Entertainment was excellent, resident band very good indeed as was the staff’s show. Lots on offer in the daytime too.
To be honest can’t say there’s much, I booked online and added a vip gold night which includes a special table and drinks in the entertainment venue, through some booking glitch this didn’t come through to the Hall but once we pointed it out the bar team went over and above to compensate.
The grounds and lake are beautiful, the coast is within a short walk.
We’ve had a wonderful time, and will return.
Thank you all at Gunton Manor.
My wife and I have just returned from our third visit to Gunton Hall. We were there from 14th to 18th January, and had a wonderful time yet again. We always feel so relaxed on our Warners breaks. The staff are all so friendly and helpful to older people, without being at all patronising. We joined in some of the daytime activities, such as the quizzes and Smite [great fun], and enjoyed much of the evening entertainment, especially Mark Summers as Elvis and the comedian Christian Lee. The resident band Crackerjax, with their lovely vocalist Emma were great, and Hannah's very hard-working Entertainment Team - mainly Sarah, Paige and Michael [Dave was only there for our first night] were fabulous. The food was varied and very good on the whole, and our waiter Sean was always courteous and friendly, as were two of the other waiting staff Jasmine and the ever-smiling Ron. We were in our usual Driftwood chalet, with the lovely view of the lake and our friendly ducks. Once again, a wonderful break, over all too quickly. Looking forward to the next one.
